Follow My Journey: It's not about weight, it's about wellness.

I am going to be starting a new journey to achieve more health and wellness. 

Why I'm Doing This

I am a new mother of a 7 month old beautiful baby boy! I love him and he is so worth everything that my body has gone through physically and emotionally but motherhood has wreaked havoc on my body. 

I will be honest, I did not control my diet very well while I was pregnant and I stopped working out because I didn't feel well (I know, not a good excuse). I ended up gaining about 50 pounds. I am happy to say that since having my baby I have started eating much better and with that alone have lost 40 pounds!

However, I have plateaued with my weight loss and although people say I look good I have some concerns. I know I can lose the last 10 pounds because I did it before having the baby, but my main concern is overall wellness. One of the things I am greatly lacking is strength and muscle tone. Yes, I would love to lose that last 10 pounds but I want to feel well, have more energy and be strong again. 

My Plan

Here are some things that I am feeling on a daily basis (I bet a lot of you feel these too):

  • Fatigue

  • Trouble getting out of bed in the morning

  • Brain fog

  • Crankiness

  • Disorganization

  • Back pain

  • Neck pain


Here is my plan:

  • Energy Vitamin Injections at Cryofit, twice a week for at least the first month

  • Cryotherapy at Cryofit, starting with 3 freeze sessions within 10 days

  • 2 days at the gym per week at Xperience Fitness with my mom (accountability)

  • Helix/Embody DNA Home Test for detailed analysis of my DNA and what exercise and diet works best for me - mailed last week, should have results in 6-8 weeks

  • Track Diet, Exercise and Weight with Fitbit and Lose It apps


I will be writing about my journey and progress. Hopefully it will inspire you to make changes in your own life to achieve wellness.
