The Gym: It's not as easy as they make it look.

My Journey

So, a few weeks ago I decided to start a new journey of getting fit and strong. For the most part I eat well and try to avoid toxic things but I do not exercise. My parents have been going to Xperience Fitness in Waukesha for about 2 years and have been working with personal trainers. They are in awesome shape and I have seen such a transformation in their strength and energy.

I decided to sign up for a membership and personal trainer, this was about 4 weeks ago.

The Gym

Yesterday the gym kicked my butt. When I got home, I sat in my car contemplating if I would make it inside. I ended up having my husband come out to carry the baby in so I did not drop him!

Here we are leaving the gym. Xperience has an awesome child care center and he loves hanging out with his care giver, Nyla!

I did weight training and cardio, can you tell from my rosy complexion?

Sometimes, while at the gym I think to myself, "Wow, all these people are in shape and I'm over here not even able to do push ups..." but then I remind myself that everyone has to start somewhere and I am at least there and trying, right?

So, I am going to keep going and trying, that is all I can do.

So Embarrassing!

Now for the very embarrassing part of today - I forgot the combination to my lock and had to have an employee cut it off. As if feeling like a weakling isn't enough! But alas, I survived the embarrassment.

So if you are working hard to get healthy, know that you are not alone in this battle; going to the gym is hard and takes work - work to get there and work while you are there!

But I know the work will pay off and I will become a #fitmama.
